Developed by Sonic Team, NiGHTS into Dreams glided onto the Saturn in 1996.

NiGHTS would prove to be a dream few players could ever forget!

Entering the childlike dreams of either Claris or Elliot, the player assumed control of a jester-like character known as 'Nights'. Using Night's ability to fly, the player could traverse each side-scrolling world with the game's simple but remarkably fluid controls.

Battling against the clock (which, when time was scarce, would hunt you down in the form of a giant egg timer) the race to collect enough orbs to unlock the character's stolen 'Ideya' would commence. Looping and weaving through each 3D dream scape, the player could 'boost', 'paraloop' and 'link' to victory, navigating the sky, fields and even underwater tunnels.

Upon completing each stage a boss fight would ensue. The bosses were some of gaming's most memorable: launching a giant, floating, ball-shaped clown through a series of walls and pillars a particular highlight!

Since it's release, NiGHTS has established itself as one of the all time classic Saturn games. The devotion of its fan base would later be rewarded with a Japan-exclusive remake on the PS2 and HD upgrades for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. With its often outrageous, colourful visuals and uplifting soundtrack, NiGHTS would prove to be a dream few players could ever forget!
