Game titles are important. Like, really important. If you want your game to stand out on the shelf amongst the masses, you need it to have a cool front cover and a snappy title. Cue 'Sabre Wulf'. See what I mean?

Doesn't matter how big your sword is, this dude will NOT go down. Matthew Romano

Our hero is Sabreman and he must negotiate over 250 maze screens in order to capture four pieces of an amulet. If you're looking for a variety of foes then this is the game for you. You'll find yourself being attacked by everything from spiders to hippos and if you dare hang around a screen for too long then you'll encounter the roaming bush fire. You do NOT want this to happen.

Sabreman is armed with a sword which he swings with the skill of a musketeer and the dude can really shift. I can't remember many games at the time in which the character could move about so quickly.

To assist Sabreman in his quest, there are extra lives scattered about and trust me, you'll need them! There are also different coloured flowers to collect but be careful, some will help and some will hinder. Seriously hinder. Oh and one last piece of advice, avoid the Titular Wulf. Doesn't matter how big your sword is, this dude will NOT go down.

All in all, this is a bonified classic and for me, it's one of my favourite games of all time. It's fast. It's scary and it's still immensely playable even now. I demand you find it somewhere because I guarantee you won't regret it.
