Side scroll into a world where 'you' are the main gameplay aspect - you live in the world of Tir Na Nog

A deep and meaningful adventure like no other

As Cuchulainn, a highly detailed animated character that stood over 50 pixels high (an achievement at the time) you enter a world that back in 84' you could have never experienced before. This pushed the Spectrum to the limit in terms of the scale of adventure, game design and truly delivered for gaming fans of the time. Not only this, but the imagined world of Tir Na Nog came to life with the wonderful artwork that supported the game through packaging, advertising and the beautiful map produced.

This was no action game - it was a maze and puzzler affair - yet the speed Cuchulainn walked at (for a game of its time) - kept the pace up and you forever wanted to venture more. There were many Celtic mythological creatures to keep you busy too and their imagination came to life through the animation and gameplay too.

The land of Tir Na Nog is a deep and meaningful one. Maybe it was the maps and artwork that affected us some much. Maybe it was this fantasy world you had to journey through. Whatever the combination -  it made this a game never to forget.
