The graphics are pretty much non-existent and it won't contain any apps or fancy video play abilities - but this is a piece of history.

On sale in Christie’s in New York today, experts predict this will still fetch more than $600,000, but this iconic invention and Apple's attempt into computing could go for even more. The Apple I, built and sold from a garage by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs in 1976 was the first step for these two pioneers and visionary characters. There are about 65 similar computers known to be out there - but not this first one which is the most significant. This original went for $7,600 at auction only back in 2004 but that is a drop in the ocean to what it will be sold for today. This trend of price increases for vintage goods - is all part of the movement for the demand of retro products and retro gaming where these sought after items are now surely set to be the antiques of the future. A generation of people who grew up in the 70s, 80s and 90s hold these old technological marvels close to their hearts and their wallets. People will go the extra mile to own a piece of history and it will be interesting to see the outcome of this iconic computer. Who knows what will be sold next of a similar significance. Exiting times!
