Play Expo Glasgow

The summer is here people , we are already in festival season, but this weekend marks the beginning of GAMING SEASON.  This Saturday Scotland's biggest gaming expo returns to the Braehead Arena!

Yes this Saturday marks the true beginning of gaming season and we are kicking this off with a monster event in bonnie Scotland!  Forget anywhere else, Glasgow is the place to be this weekend as a host of videogame fans, collectors and  traders decent onto the arena floor for a weekend of gaming.

The Team at Replay Events are really laying it on this year and they have lots to keep your fingers tapping away at those joypads all day!  There is a Indie gaming zone where you have the chance to try out some of the quirkier games before they are available to buy in the stores and then you can even chat with the developers...Let them know what you think of their new games!

They will also have all the a massive range of exhibitors selling everything from plushy toys, figurines, consoles, clothing and probably that elusive game you have been searching for! We can vouch that everytime we go to an Play Expo.....we come home with games! There are also all the other zones you find including PS4 gaming , Pinball Areas , LAN gaming and even VR zone to try out new and current releases in the VR world.

But what we really lurrrve is the RETRO ZONE!!

We know you will love this area as much as we do  - but guys......its like heaven. Anyone who has been to one of the events before will know that Replay Events specialise in retro and they always bring the best retrogaming fun and nostagia for you.

Some of the biggest franchises in gaming will be ready to play incluing Mario, Sonic, Star Wars, Street Fighter, Lego, Tomb Raider, James Bond and many more. The Retro area includes the Replay Lounges, these are clusters of four player, single-screen games where all players sit next to each other nudging and laughing their way through a lap of Mario Kart, a round of Goldeneye or a battle on Super Smash Brothers.

Failing all this retro action you can head down to Arcade Alley where you can find the biggest collection of arcade cabinets from your childhood lined up how they are meant to be and ready to play... and best off all you don't need loads of spare change as they are free to play!

Alongside all this gaming they also have an amazing Cosplay Competition for all you budding costume artists plus many other gaming prizes and titles to be won!

If you guys wanna make a road trip of this and head up to Glasgow all the info you need is on the Play Expo Glasgow Page here.
