Sega created a classic shooter from the hit TV show Buck Rogers and the comics before it that inspired millions of kids and adults alike.

A face-paced shooter from the 25th Century!

Buck Rogers: Planet of Zoom hit the arcades with a smash in the late 20th Century (1982 to be precise!) from the classic 25th Century future sci-fi idea.  It was released on number of other platforms too -including a smooth arcade conversion of Planet of Zoom was released for the Sega SG-1000 console as Zoom 909.

The 3D effect of Buck Roger's ship whizzing through space was well ahead of its time, it felt like you were controlling a high tech space fighter with all it's speed and firepower.

This was after the massive success of the TV show Buck Rogers in the 25th Century which ran from 1979 to 1981. The game had no direct link with the show but certain aspects certainly made you feel like you were Gil Gerard in the spaceship hunting down the enemies.

A classic arcade 3D shooter - very advanced in terms of speed and gameplay in 1982.
