Bally Midway lauched a classic arcade title that had all the influence of Bond, The Saint, The Man from Uncle and any other secret agent you could think of at the time!

But this was a really about James Bond and the Spy Who Loved me for us when we were playing it.  Bond's white lotus was a huge influence here but not copied or used by the makers (it just made us feel like Bond!).  The slick white sports car was a G-6155 Interceptor which was modeled after the 1983 Camaro Z28, and along with  thumping soundtrack you were hot on the tails on villains - and truly in the driving seat.

The steering wheel was the coolest ever. Part spaceship controller like the original star wars - part speedboat wheel. Talking of speedboats -  the most memorable moment is hitting the cabin with your car to then tear down through the river shooting at helicopters along the way. It's not long before you are hot footing it back on road to machine gun, oil slick or missle your enemies.  A true gem of its time which holds up now 30 years plus later.
