BORN IN 1985
The Sega Master System began it's life in Japan as the Mark III with releases as the Master System in the USA (1986) and then Europe (1987).
They are famous for games such as California Games, Outrun, Space Harrier and Alex Kidd to name but a few. The controllers were cool too, not unlike the NES but lightweight and easy to use. The Master System was an 80's gem at the height of 8-bit system third generation, and it stood out well amongst the competition.
Playing cartridges and Sega Cards the Master System hosted many other accessories (including the light gun and 3D glasses) and hundreds of games during it's life in the 80's.
