Ground Zero Texas was another of my favourite full motion video games, This game was a big improvement on the graphics then some earlier titles,
I was still amazed about the interacting with video on my Mega Drive and Mega CDThe video was bigger to see and the colours were better making it more enjoyable to play.

Again like most fmv titles the acting wasn't fantastic, but back then when I was a kid it didn't matter and at the time I didn't notice the acting I was still amazed about interacting with video on my megadrive and mega cd, It is only now that im older looking back that I have noticed the acting, But if you can ignore the acting and poor video compared to what we have today then you can only admire sega for what they tried to do, which is something different.
First you are in a texas town called El Cadron where you are over run from an alien invasion, your job is to establish surveillance and try to wipe all the aliens out, There are 5 main characters in the game, Reece is the man in charge and the rest are agents to help you, there names are Breen, Matthews, Pike and Disalvo.
All of these Agents are located on four Battlecams, These are big guns mounted on surveillance cameras that you control and help to protect the people in all four areas of the town, you will know when aliens are threatening the town as the camera will flash then it is your job to switch cameras and shoot the aliens and protect the people, If you don't switch cameras in time the aliens will shoot it and the energy will go down and the picture will degrade and eventually stop working until an agent repairs it, you do have a shield to use over the battlecams but the aliens will destroy that if left unattended,
As you progress later on in the game you here that a bomb has been set by the aliens and its your job to keep in contact with the agents and to ear drop on texas people as they will talk about a code to stop the bomb going off if you get the code you must input it in the control panel and stop the bomb from killing everyone in the village.
Ground Zero Texas is another enjoyable fmv game that every mega cd fan should have in there collection.
My memory from that year is the different games that were out there was your normal 16-bit megadrive graphics and the brand new full motion video back then we had lots to choose from and discover.
