Toejam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron – best two-player Megadrive game as you genuinely had to work together equally to progress through the stages and not just keep disappearing off the screen (like poor Tails in Sonic 2!)
My record was 9 hours playing before the Megadrive froze on me

I loved the hunting about for presents and earthlings and even better, the doors to Hyper-funk Zone (special accent required to say that one out loud!).
In the zone, you could even earn panic buttons and funk vacuums both perfect for when you were about to give up hope on jarring up the earthlings before the poodles mauled you!
If that wasn’t enough, for 1 funk (I think?!), you could take part in a dancing competition or a synchronised trampolining competition with your buddy (think pre-X Factor judging panel scoring here). The soundtrack was another superb feature of this game, the funcky tunes and beats kept me entertained as I played!!
Never did get to the end of this game (without the cheat code) but did have hours of trying my record was 9 hours playing before the Megadrive froze on me.. BAD DAY!
May that chubster Earl rest peacefully with his three-legged alien pal.
