Avoid the barriers of the swirling tracks. Learn the layout of the winding tracks. Time your weapon pick-ups to perfection....

Have the reflexes of a ninja. Man, it's a tough game. No continues, no re-starts. An old-school classic, friends.

It looked like Ridley Scott had designed the visuals.

I'd just started working for a living back in 94-95. Still lived at my parent's gaffe. Had wonderful presents come 25th December every year like Star Wars Figures, Action Man and perhaps most fantastic when I was 9 years old, an Atari 2600 (The black sleek space-ship number, not the wooden effect one)

When I had dollar to burn as a young fellow however, Sony sprung a beautifully slick machine on me called Playstation & the likes of Ridge Racer & Tekken etc were incredible.

Yet I was most excited by Wipeout. It looked too cool to be on a home machine. So ahead of it's time. It looked like Ridley Scott had designed the visuals, sounded like Sasha was on the soundtrack, and played like the designers of this classic were taking acid. Nothing could prepare you for the speed, beauty and excitement of it
