I experienced chill, fright and horror, from the very beginning.

That I was playing it in cold office after hours only added to sense of being there in those frozen mountains of Midwinter.

The list of characters was long and frozen island just too big to comprehend. The overall game was minimalistic but gave much feedback to me as I felt each struggle of the characters as my own... That I was playing it in cold office after hours only added to sense of being there in those frozen mountains of Midwinter.

As it happens in Mike Singleton's games, you can win by military might, destroying enough brigades so that enemy scatters, or through adventure by sneaking into enemy HQ and blasting nasty generalissimo.

I was in the high school at the time. Felt good. So long elementary school. Went to Italy to ski with school friends. Met awesome fellow gamer. We played Midwinter together.

Good old days.
