After the phenomenal success of the first game in the series it was inevitable there would be a sequel. Loading the game for the very first time I was in awe of the fantastic detail on the Central Park loading screen and the music that played out while loading.
1988 was a good year for the C64 and other 8 bit machines, we seen the excellent Robocop movie tie in from Ocean.

To this day the Central Park loading music on Last Ninja 2 is recognised as one of the best pieces ever created.
Kunitoki escaped at the end of the first game, you crouched at the altar and simply just started glowing and then a black screen. You start out after traveling a few hundred years into the future to Central Park in New York and start your hunt for the evil Shogun. Once again you will have objects to find and use in different areas of the map to progress through each level and finally confront the shogun again.
1988 was a good year for the C64 and other 8 bit machines, we seen the excellent Robocop movie tie in from Ocean. The sequel to Delta : Armalyte from Thalamus hit the shelves, Bionic Commando received 2 conversions, one from Capcom (poor USA version) and the amazing GO European version. All of this backed by songs from Kylie Minogue, Tiffany, Billy Ocean and of course U2 in the charts. This is a year that I remember well to this day!
